High-res The boys weren’t listening to us at bedtime last night, so I roped them in by taking art requests. (This table is in their room.) Here’s who requested what…
Me: gorilla
Boone: lion (Wyatt kept shaking the table, so not my best lion. He looks more like a member of Spinal Tap.)
Wyatt: giraffe
Larissa: bird
Afterward, we all named our animals.

High-res We let our boys jump on the bed. And jump off the bed. It’s the boys’ favorite pre-bedtime activity… also, their favorite mid-day activity and occasionally their favorite late-afternoon activity.
That blur is Wyatt hurling himself across the room. They usually pile their beanbag chairs, pillows and blankets between their two beds and execute dramatic leaps. (Don’t worry, I moved that table.) They have yet to experience a mid-air collision because we taught them early on, if they were going to do aerial acrobatics, they needed to take turns.
Last night, Wyatt perfected a jump in which he spins a full 360 degrees and lands in a sitting position. He also did one in which he somehow missed the beanbag and landed on his back, legs up in the air. He thought it was hysterical. My wife said, “Your son, Chevy Chase.”

I know, I know, I know. I said I wasn’t going to post images of the boys anymore. But, just look at my shot of Wyatt that was featured on the PEN Ready Tumblr. Look at it!
(And to the commenter who said this photo is racist, first of all, no. Secondly, Wyatt is 1/16 Cherokee. So, thanks for being insensitive to the plight of Native Americans, you America-hater.)
