Do you read any parenting magazines or books (and if so which ones) or do you just play it by ear and leave literature to the mother?

When we have time, which is rare, we’ll read an article or two. But usually, we play it by ear. That method only proved semi-disastrous when my instincts told me to address our boys’ habit of nose-picking by encasing their heads in plexiglass.
