The Daddy Complex

I find that as Harper gets older, the more there is for me to learn as well. Oftentimes, like today, I become overwhelmed with all the information available on any topic, such as education. Although she's only 5 months, we have to start looking at where she'll go when she's 2 years (due to waiting lists, etc.) and I'm finding myself lost in the sea of information that is early childhood education. Suggestions on how to get my head above water?

Drink wine.

Actually, I don’t have a magic answer. I feel the same as you and not just about school. Among the things to research are/were:

  • Dentists
  • Swimming lessons
  • Crock Pot recipes
  • Santa’s schedule at the damn mall
  • Gift items for Xmas and family birthdays
  • How to return this goddamn replacement monitor power cable because the company sent the wrong one

You might try asking a friend or two to help narrow your focus. That’s what we do. A friend will always give you the good and bad of any subject more so than any online forum or magazine article. Plus, once you hear about their experience on the matter, you may discover you already knew which decision to make.

But, drinking does help.
